The bride and groom’s names are the focal point of
your wedding invitation so in selecting a font, the first thing you
want to do is to look for a font that you like, then check the capital letters of
the first letter of the bride and groom’s first and last names to be sure that
you like how they look in that particular font. That is your most important
criteria.

A script font is the most appropriate for a formal wedding invitation,
however if you have selected a more casual invitation, then a pretty
calligraphy style might be just as appropriate. Your best bet is to pick three
favorites and experiment to see how each of them looks on the invitation.

You can request a black and white proof for a nominal fee or an actual press
proof where an invitation is actually printed in the font and color of choice.
That is more expensive. That way you would know exactly what you are getting.
