Be aware that doing your own flowers is more time consuming and time sensitive than you may realize. Do you really want to be worrying about flower quality, quantity, and refrigeration during the few final days before your wedding?

If you do decide to be your own florist, your beset bet may be potted plants, bowls with a few floating votives or flowers in them, or silk arrangements.

Consider ordering flowers through your local grocer or home-goods wholesale supplier. You may be pleasantly surprised by their prices and quality.

See if you know anyone who has access to a flower mart or a wholesale flower exchange.
