Dressing the Bride: The Bride’s Vision
Try to have an idea in your mind of the dress you are looking for. That way you will have narrowed down some possibilities before heading to the stores. Doing some homework in advance may make things a bit easier.
When you go to the bridal salon, retailer, or dressmaker, bring with you any photos, clippings, or other ideas you have.
Consult wedding magazines, photographers’ wedding albums, bridal salons and warehouses, and even the Internet for ideas.
Make sure your dress reflects the environment in which you are going to be married. For example, if you are having a Catholic wedding in sacred church, don’t wear an off-the-shoulder or revealing dress. On the other hand, for a beach side wedding, less can indeed be more. Even going barefoot is acceptable on the beach!
