For years I’ve seen and hear of musical birthday cards and Christmas cards, but it’s only been recently I heard of musical wedding invitations. Now I heard this through the grapevine but if the birthday and Christmas ones exist, then why not?

Apparently a friend of a friend of a friend received a wedding invitation that played a little jingle when they opened it. The bride apparently had her invitations made and then she personally added the little musical device inside of it. It would be a little tedious, but it could be fun at the same time if you did it as a group. She apparently did this, not only to be different, but she figured people would be less likely to throw them out so soon or forget her wedding. Good idea.

I thought that would be a fun thing to do as a family when making other kinds of cards. When I did an online search for the little musical devices that could be added to these cards, I couldn’t find them. I was inundated with online musical greeting cards (e-cards). I have to admit I didn’t put too much effort into looking, but I’m sure you could find them once you weeded through all irrelevant sites. You could probably narrow the search if you know specifically what they were called.
