Wedding Invitations

There are two ways you could interpret this title. You could interpret is as someone had a themed wedding inspired by Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas. Or you could interpret it as the wedding took place before Christmas and it was a nightmare. Both interpretations would be completely accurate in this particular situation.

I found this article while searching online and just had to share it with everyone.

The plan was to have the reception hall look like something out of the Nightmare Before Christmas movie which they eventually pulled off beautifully, but not without some true nightmares.

Apparently the building was older and looked much like the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland which would be prefect for this theme. Unfortunately not all reception halls “dig” this kind of theme. Some people see it as dark and evil or even portraying the wrong message about the facility. So needless to say, there was some resistance from the reception hall and the wedding planner had to be very persistent. The hall was worried people would start thinking it was a gothic building for gothic ceremonies. 

The first nightmare was the hall had lost record that everything had been paid for.  The bride had to prove all payments were made before the hall would let any of the guests in. (Brides, hang on to all receipts in case you need to prove that things are paid for. In fact make copies and bring them with you).
